The Finger is a five piece indie rock/new wave band from Thessaloniki, Greece. The band consists of Lia Siouti(vocals), Sotiris Noukas (guitar), Sakis Azas(guitar), Andy Haralanis(bass), Nick Ditsias(drums).All the members before the formation of the band, had already worked together in several projects, which resulted in a special chemistry and connection between them. Their sound is deeply influenced by British rock bands like Pink Floyd and The Cure, but individually their influences vary from trip hop to heavy metal.The Finger officially formed in June 2011, right after the release of their debut cd single "Die! Die Superhero!". The release was followed by another single that hit the airwaves internationally , titled "In A Fragment Of Time". Both of the singles, soon resulted in a fast growing fan base and several references and features by the music press worldwide.The Finger's debut album "I Don't Believe My Eyes", is set to be self released on March,15th,2012. The eleven tracks on the album, embrace a dark indie guitar rock sound, while the lyrics give a funnier note on some of the tracks. While the biggest part of inspiration is drawn by the current political and financial situation in Greece, The Finger talk about dreams, death and love. This release they are planning to support and promote, by doing a number of shows, mostly in Greece,in 2012.
