Nic Marsden - vocals/songwriting/programming/production/ableton live Nic's been Obsessed with the 80's era from been a very young child, When he was just 16 he decided Techno was the scene for him and began to learn the art of production and performing live under the name Nico Strides, with 4 top ten digital releases Nic moved away from the dance music scene and got more into songwriting side, looking at the past to gain experience in his writing Nic was influenced greatly by The factory Records era as you will be able to tell in the vocal performances and songwriting. Chris Dawkins - bass/guitar/production When listening to CulturGen there is a distinct flavor of jazz and chill out throughout the production and playing, Chris Dawkins has worked with some amazing artists and producers throughout his 25 year career as a producer and session bass/guitar player the list is endless, Nightmares on Wax, Lee Sean Kenny(Fiathless), Corrine Bailey Rae, Finlay Quaye and also worked with Trevor Horn for some time in the studio as a assistant, Chris's experience in laying down a track on the bass/guitar makes every Culturgen piece jump out of the studio and come alive. CulturGen was formed when Nic and Chris got together through a publishing friend and thing soon got hot in the studio.The CulturGen boys have a common passion and drive to create good music with a positive message. Nic - CulturGen "Its hard to say who does what when it comes to the production stage but there is a distinct difference in what we do when it comes to laying down the vibe. Chris does the Guitars, Bass and sometimes Keys, I like to sit in the studio songwriting and programming then we both get together and get geeky with the arranging, synth and drum programming and all general vibing that has to be done in the studio "
