Born to parents Elgena and Owen Flash, Caldhino grew up in the small community of Cooreville Gardens among the Cash Flow Family whose home and studio is based in the same community. Caldhino’s enthusiasm for music as he recalls, started from an early age when he used to fetch his father’s cassettes and record on them, and then his father would go for his cassettes to play his songs, where he would then hear Caldhino’s voice over the tapes. Caldhino attended the Edith Dalton High School where he was involved in cricket and football. In the year 2002, after the inception of the Cashflow studio, Caldhino decided to start recording radically with the Cashflow Family, after a member asked him to record a song, little did he know that this was where eminence would have started for him. In late 2008, he recorded the song ‘Rising’ produced by High Stakes Records in New Zealand, which has gotten major airplays in both New Zealand and on internet radio around the world. In early 2009, Caldhino recorded the song “Bus di Youths”, produced by Dj Neil of Cashflow Records, this song as gotten major airplay. In the same year he collaborated with Karijess out of the Big Ship Family for the single ‘Tings dem a spray”. With his vocals in demand, Caldhino was again called in 2010 by Cashflow Records to record on the Pagans Rhythm, where he did the single ‘ Try Survive’, this too has been getting major airplay. Caldhino states that he wants to be an inspiration and the voice for young people through his music. With his flexibility, he has been making his mark, as a rhytym composer and producer. He recently created the Name Change rhythm for Dj Naz of Gurl Power International, which features artiste like himself, Dversity, Suhverto, Versatile, To Isis, Hitmaker just to name a few. Caldhino also anticipates great results from his own record company Double Trouble Records, where he will release the South Camp Rhythm in 2011 which will feature a few young and well known artistes including himself. Caldhino is also riding high on his single ‘Jah Watch Over me’ which features Dversity. With many projects ahead, Caldhino is also working on other new singles, such as ‘Gal Farm’ on the employer rhythm, ‘Hustle Fi mine’ under Black Records and ‘Better One Day’ under FrassDog Productions based in Oklahoma. He also anticipates working with producer Seanizzle. Caldhino admits the world of music is not easy, however he will not be deterred by the obstacles, as he is very optimistic.
